Hello from Belfast..
I'm Kit and I play Jon Snow in Game of Thrones. We've begun working on this crazy final season so I might get a bit looney from all the shenanigans. I can't tell anyone anything...I can't have visitors on the set. But if anyone wants to swing by on a weekend when it's all drinking and resting, you're welcome. Please, really...I don't want to become a drunk Irishman!

One of my favorite things about my life is that I get to play drums for a living. Making music is all I've ever wanted to do.

Well thank you! I feel the same way about acting. So many people aren't doing what they love for a variety of reasons, so I count myself fortunate to be doing what I love.

I'd probably be in the family business. It's not really me so I'm glad I had a way to get out. My poor brother.

What is the family business for your brother to have it that bad?

Well, taking 2nd place to Peter Dinklage is an honor! He is so good.

My brother is a stuffy Baronet-in-training to my father, who is the 15th Baronet Harington of Ridlington. That's a mouthful.

A Baronet is the holder of a baronetcy, a hereditary title awarded by the British Crown. The practice of awarding baronetcies was originally introduced in England in the 14th century. They're not really royalty but they are closer to that than a knight. It's kind of a political thing.

Okay, so, GOT is life, but I will do my best to quell the utter excitement. I promise not to ask anything of you because I will gut anyone who ruins the show. That said my favorite thing about my life is how much it has changed over the last year and how much it’s changed me, I’d like to think for the better. But welcome!

I get excited to talk about it, but I don’t spoil anything. I make whoever is watching tell me where they are and then I laugh at how hopeful they are. Especially when they claim a favorite. I’m mean but I love that they are about to be crushed. Because it happened to me season 1.

LOL you are diabolical! Oh don't pick a favorite for next year. You know half of the characters could not make it. That's what I thought at the end of the filming for last season. Sadly I think a lot of people were very sad about Margery....and Ned. What a way to start out the story!

I'm just so thankful that I get to do what I love with people I love.

If they were dumb enough to not watch it and love and weep with the rest of us it’s kind of their own fault. I feel like a lot who are just now catching on, not all mind you, at first decided they didn’t want to watch because it’s a popular show and they wanted to be different or something. I feel like I was sad about most of the deaths except Joffrey, Walder, and I feel like there was another...but I know it wasn’t Ramsey, oh it was Theons father. Didn’t feel bad there either. The worst was the wolves...with Hodor at a close second. Haha

And that is such an amazing thing. Do you know what’s next after GOT? If you will try another show or stick with movies?

I thought everyone hated that guy.

Lol yes, I was sad when Ramsey died.

Yes he was kind of the worst but he was basically the best villain on the show and one of the best that I’ve seen. And so o was sad to see such a good villain and really just a product of his environment all while doing what he was he was told to do just in his own way. This could also be because while I absolutely adore Sophie, Sansa is probably one of my least favorite...Sophie is beautiful and plays her great, I just am not fond of the character herself. Even in the books.

Well that sounds exciting! I look forward to seeing what else you will do. Plan on working with other got cast members or all new friends?

Sophie does an amazing job as Sansa. I have nothing but love for her AND Maisie. I still think Cersei is a better villain. I mean, Ramsey was the most vile, yes, but he had no redeeming qualities. Cersei has a little more depth, iMO. But to each his own, I always say!

I'm actually going to play one of my ancestors! It's a BBC film about the "Gunpowder" plot in the UK in the 1600's. I'm also producing it.

All of you play your roles so amazingly. Like honesty I bow to all of the talent. I guess I’m just bored of Cersei. I’m also bored with any Greyjoy. They can all be done now. I guess I liked Ramsey because I loved to hate him. But I suppose much more of him and I’d be over his line as well. Then again I could watch an entire show surrounding small groups in the show. Like the brotherhood without banners to name one.

Wow! That sounds amazing. And that’s awesome you’re so involved in it! I’ll certainly be sure to check it out. At the very least I’ll let my dad know to watch. He’s a history teacher and hosnonly conversations are basically history. Like he ate up Frontier even if it wasn’t so historical.

The guy who played Ramsey is the sweetest guy. As is Alfie (Theon)...there both lovely. And so is Lena (Cersei). It shows what great actors they are - they play their parts so well.

Gunpowder premiered just yesterday but only on BBC and not the American version which is a shame. It's a miniseries so it'll eventually be available in other formats as well. I play a guy named Catesby which is my mother's maiden name and my middle name.

I’ve literally seen and heard nothing but amazing tho ha about Iwan, Alfie, and Lena. I’m honestly a little surprised Alfie hasn’t won an Oscar and Iwan at least nominated. Not to take away from anyone who has won or been nominated but still. I also think Lena is going to be like the next Meryl and I don’t take that lightly because I love that woman like another mother.

Well that made me excited and sad all at the same time! Lol. But I will keep my eyes open for other platforms. That’s a really awesome name though...like objectively if someone said that was their name I’d be more than inclined to attempt to be buddies.

Yes, that's one thing I'm going to miss the most - hanging out with these people. It'll be a tough adjustment but I'm going to stay in touch and support them in anything they do. It'll be bittersweet though.

Well while you may not see them as much as you have the bonds you have created won’t change. Luckily I’m this age you can easily keep in some contact. But I understand it being bittersweet.
